About the founder of Space Planning Concepts

Colin Freeman (M.A. MDIA) founded Space Planning Concepts in 1984 in South Africa and in 1999 on emigrating to Australia.

Colin has qualifications in design , marketing and project management and is a professional member of the Design Institute of Australia.

Colin has had extensive experience in Retail and Commercial projects over the last thirty years. This included a vast array of retail outlets, restaurant and food take out concepts, and offices for varying types of businesses.

He has worked in the store planning department of a large retail business, has been in his own retail business, and for Nexus (Columbus, Ohio) an advanced retail concept consultancy.

He is currently also working on his own concepts which he hopes to bring to the market soon

Over the last few years he has worked with John Stanley Associates (international retail consultants www.johnstanley.cc) where he has acquired extensive skills in retailing techniques.

Colin has also undertaken extensive study into Environment Sustainable Design ( ESD) which he tries to introduce to his clients and projects.

Colin is passionate about design and has high professional standards and ethics.
